Mr Mark (Moishe) Bane
We are delighted to invite you to hear our special guest and "Scholar-in-Residence" this week at Kesher. Join us on Shabbos 8th May to hear Mr Mark (Moishe) Bane on
"Highs and Lows of Jewish Activism"
Shacharis at 9:00am. Mr Bane will speak after Kiddush (which begins ~11:30am).
Mr Bane will also speak at Seudah Shelishit, following Mincha at 8:15pm, on the subject of
"Public Jew, Private Jew: Balancing Professional and Personal Identities."

Mark (Moishe) Bane is the Chairman of the Governors of the Orthodox Union, the largest umbrella organization of Orthodox synagogues in the world. Mr. Bane is particularly committed to the preservation of Jewish unity and Jewish identity among all segments of the Jewish community.
In his commercial life, Mr. Bane is the head of the Corporate Restructuring Department at the international law firm Ropes and Gray (http://www.ropesgray.com/markbane). He is a graduate of the NYU School of Law, Johns Hopkins University and Ner Israel Rabbinical College (from where he has rabbinic ordination as well). Born in Montreal, Mr. Bane now lives in Long Island, New York, with his wife, Joanne and their children.
